講者介紹：

Marco Aiello is professor of Computer Science and Head of the Service Computing Department at the University of Stuttgart, Germany and member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. He is also honorary professor of Distributed Systems at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands, where he was a faculty member from 2006 till 2018. He holds a PhD in Logic from the University of Amsterdam, the Habilitation in Applied Informatics from TU Wien, and a master degree in Engineering from La Sapienza University of Rome. His research interests are in Service Computing, Smart Energy Systems, and Spatial Reasoning. He has authored over 160 peer reviewed articles and several books, including two bestsellers, and the most recent The Web Was Done by Amateurs published by Springer.

Marco Aiello是德國斯圖加特大學的計算機科學教授，並擔任服務計算部門的主任。他還是荷蘭格羅寧根大學的榮譽分佈式系統教授，曾在該校任教從2006年到2018年。他在阿姆斯特丹大學獲得邏輯學博士學位，在維也納工業大學獲得應用信息學博士後資格，並在羅馬拉斯佩齊亞大學獲得工程碩士學位。他的研究興趣包括服務計算、智能能源系統和空間推理。他發表了160多篇同行評審的文章和多本書籍，其中包括兩本暢銷書籍，最近出版的《網絡是業餘人士完成的》由Springer出版。

演講大綱：

The availability of data in digital form is at unprecedented levels and is enabling a new way of building systems that are transforming our society. But data by itself is not enough to provide for useful systems. In this talk, I will overview recent and current research efforts at the Service Computing Department of the Institute of Architecture of Application Systems of the University of Stuttgart. The research efforts revolve around the design of architectures that go beyond the mere collection of data and are able to support humans in smart ways. The applications of these systems are in the field of energy and sustainability, in particular: Smart Buildings, Smart Grids, and Smart Data Centers.

數據以數字形式的可用性達到前所未有的水平，並且正在啟動一種新的建立系統的方式，改變著我們的社會。然而，單單擁有數據並不足以提供有用的系統。在這次演講中，我將概述斯圖加特大學應用系統架構研究所服務計算部門的最新和當前研究工作。這些研究工作圍繞著設計超越僅僅數據收集的架構，能夠以智能方式支持人類。這些系統的應用領域主要是能源和可持續性領域，具體包括智能建築、智能電網和智能數據中心。
